I see an ER visit in the near future.

So I am not sure what my daughter had running through that little head of hers but she thought it would be a great idea to convince her brother that he could FLY! She told him that if he flapped his arms hard enough that he could be like "Buzz Light Year" and fly away!

So being the genius my son is, he thought it would be a wise decision to
1 trust his sister
2 try out this theory.

Luckily mommy was there when he made his first attempt at flying down the stairs. I caught him by the back of his shirt and possibly saved his life. Unfortuntionly the second time he tested out his sisters theory he was not so lucky. He jumped off my bed and landed on his belly and bumped his mouth. Hopefully that is the last time he will attempt to fly, if not I do see a visit to the ER in the future.

When will that boy learn that he can't listen to her?!?!

Bright idea Genius!!

Judge had dry cereal for a snack this morning. As Dennis began to pour it he noticed that he was pouring Rice Crispies.

He then said to my son "Whoa son that not Cheerios that Rice Crispies."

He then CONTINUES to pour the Rice Crispies into his bowl and says "That's not a good idea."

He then gave him the bowl and said in the most stern fatherly voice "Good luck with that son."

This is the mess that followed!

What is it with them this morning!

My kids are obsessed with jumping on my bed. What is that about. I know eventually I will be taking on of them to the hospital with a broken arm. My reflexes are not up to catching falling kids this early in the morning. You think after falling off for the 50Th time they would stop!

NOPE not my kids. They are determined to drive me mad today and it is only 7:30!

Judge has stolen my tooth brush. Annabelle is mad at me because I had to get on to her for spitting in my hair. John Paul is good though. So I guess not a complete bad start to my Friday!

:)
It feels good to be home!

somthing about a trash can on the head

I am not sure what my kid's fascination is with trash cans on their heads, but I think I have about 30 pictures of them walking around our home with some sort of trash can or bucket over their head!

A princess

Annabelle's thoughts on getting a hair cut.

"Mommy you can't cut my hair. A princess needs long hair so prince charming can climb up it and marry me!"

I wonder what her dad would say about the one.

New pictures and videos

I took a ton of new pictures this week. Here are a few. Annabelle taught John Paul pat a cake and he also started laughing this week!! He is growing so fast. I need him to slow down!

"A Winter Wonderland"

That is what my kids call it when they get their tiny little fingers on the baby powder. My kids for the 3rd time since the new year found the baby powder this morning. Before I knew it they had dumped 1/2 a box into the carpet and Judges hair. Note the pictures above. WHY?!

I made them clean it up as much as possible and called Dennis. (He had to go into work this morning at 2:30 but that is a whole other blog) So when Dennis got home he gave Annabelle a good talking to. He asked her why she did it and she said

"The baby powder makes me do strange things"

Oh my God where does she come up with this stuff.

It just couldn't stop on a daiper note.

I thought after yesterday things had to start looking up around here. Well I was lucky this morning it did. I got the house cleaned, the floor moped the kids down for "down time" (The boys take a nap and Annabelle lays down downstairs).

Well downtime started a little late due to house cleaning. About 10 minutes after I sat down I hear Judge screaming his head off in his room (this is strange because my kids NEVER scream at nap time). I wanted to see if he was just playing and would put himself back to sleep before I went in. Lord knows I didn't want to go in there and get him. Well he didn't so I had to go in and get him up about 45 minutes early. If you are a mom and reading this you know that virtually skipping a nap is going to make for one hell of an evening.

After nap we headed downstairs to start dinner. Well it took me forever to get dinner started because Judge was so cranky and kept wanting to be held. But I finally got it stated and I was almost done and that's when I get the call! The call that I dread. The call that I have nightmares about. The call I could go the rest of my life without ever getting again.

"Hey baby its going to be a late night"

I wanted to die. I wanted to crawl under my bed. I wanted to run out onto the train tracks behind the house. It took everything inside of me to keep from screaming on the spot.

WHY WHY WHY! Why couldn't my week just turn around. Why today, this week of all weeks why? I just wanted 1 full day of something that resembled some kind of normalcy in this house.

So I ended up doing dinner, bath, and bed for all three kids ALONE. I don't mind doing baths but I like it better when it is 2 on 3 instead of 3 on 1. I have them all day and I love it but when 6 o'clock gets here Lord knows I am so ready to hand them over to their daddy. I want to have dinner and then give them to their dad so I can clean up and prepare for the next day.

I am not sure why when he has them at night it takes him an hour to do all 3 baths, stories and get them in bed. When I do it it takes me upwards of 2 and 1/2 hours!!!! They know when mom is doing baths and Dennis has even said that they act up more with me. They dump water on the floor so that when I go into the bathroom I almost break my neck. They take off running naked through the house after I get them out of the tub and I have to chase them. I like to think that I am pretty good at everything when it comes to the kids but baths are a totally different story. I guess it is because dad has been doing them since the kids were born and they are used to him. When I do it I think they secretly scheme to see just how far they can push me.

Well I got it done and all of them in bed......Looking back it was a pretty fun day even with all the craziness. It wouldn't be the Comeaux house without a little chaos.

A picture is worth 1000 words!

If it weren't for the smell I don't think I would have known what had happened until after he woke up from his nap!

I put John Paul down for a nap and went downstairs to do some house cleaning. I heard him grunting in his cradle. I thought hey he must be trying to get situated so he can fall asleep. Oh my God how wrong I was. I decided a few moments later to run up and make sure he was OK and sleeping!! He was sleeping, but my God when I opened the door the smell hit me like a 50 lb bag of crawfish that had been out in the sun for a week. I went to check his diaper and when I turned him over I got the SHOCK of my life. Note the picture above. I really don't think it does the whole situation justice but it was the best I could do. Can you say "DIAPER EXPLOSION!!!"

I don't know what I was thinking but I tried wiping him with a baby wipe. I gave up after a few minutes and gave him a bath!

Well that was the start of my day and it only went downhill from there. Judge snuck a box of crackers out of the kitchen and into the bathroom where he preceded to smash them into the tile and rug. Then I had my foot run over by a fire truck then not 5 minutes later had a rotary phone dropped on the same one. Judge pooped up the back of his diaper right before his nap and then unbeknown to me he took a juice cup to bed and spilt it all over his sheets. That cut his nap short and now he is as cranky as cranky gets.

As for my daughter. She some how found my hair spray once again and coated her pet dog in hair spray. After that she was a crab pot all day. WHINY WHINY WHINY!! ALL DAY LONG.

This afternoon I ordered pizza. feed John Paul, and have now turned them ALL over to their father. May God have mercy on his soul.

And the story goes on.........

I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! After the morning I had yesterday I just knew this was going to be a VERY long week. It didn't stop yesterday, by late afternoon I got the icing on my cake......a headache. So needless to say I was ready to go to bed last night. After the day I had had I knew that there was a small possibility it could get worse and it did. Around 10ish Dennis gets a call from work that something broke and he was going to have to fix it.

He started working on it while in bed with me. I couldn't get to sleep until almost mid-night because of the racket he was making on the phone. The lady he was speaking with was
1. a sleep
2. high
3. using a translator to speak English
you take your pick, I just know by the time I finally got to sleep I was ready to jump through the phone!

Well then I get to sleep and John Paul wakes me about 1:30 (he has slept through the night now for almost 6 weeks!!) I feel asleep nursing him only to be woken by my daughter screaming at 3 am. After another member of the comeaux household crawled into our bed, decided she didn't like it there, then forced me to take he back to her room. I went back to sleep. MY GOD!!

When it rains it pours. I really think I could have handled it had it all happened on separate nights but all in one night. Give me a break! I was ready to jump out my window at 5 when John Paul got me back up! If this week doesn't get better I am going to go out and lay on the asphalt for a while!

I finally found her currency.

Annabelle's new currency aka the thing that she will work for is......drum roll please...... PLAY DATES!!

Being a family with only one car is very hard. Having one car means dad goes to work and mom and the kids stay home ALL THE TIME! Well we were lucky enough to move to a neighborhood where there are a few girls Annabelle's age. So it is fun sometimes to have them over or to get out of the house and head to their houses for a play date.

Well this morning when Annabelle came into my room she asked about one of her friends that lives down the street. So I told her that I would call and see if I could set something up AFTER we cleaned the house. Next thing i know my room is being cleaned by a 4 year old. she picked up all the dirty cloths and put them in the hamper and all
the trash in the trash can. I was so proud.

A way to start the day....

Sticky arms....screaming kids...and warm vomit running down my thigh is not my idea of a good start to the day. This is going to be a LLLOOONNNGGG week!!!

The kids

Thought I would post some new pics of the kids and let everyone see how much they are growing.

We just recently got Annabelle and Judge enrolled in school for next year. Annabelle will go Monday Wednesday and Friday 9-2 and Judge will go Tuesday and Thursday 9-11:30. They well be going to a great school St. Gregory the Great Catholic School in Danbury. We took them to see the school and meet their new teacher and neither one wanted to leave. I know they are going to love it but as for mom I am going to miss them so much.

As for John Paul he has learned 2 new tricks he can now roll from his belly to his back. He has also learned how to melt mom and dads heart. He SMILES ALL the time.

The cost of sleeping in

I have a great husband I really do. He lets me sleep in on Saturday morning and makes me breakfast in bed EVERY day. But sometimes I am not sure about the cost of some of the things he does for me. Like most Saturday morning I can expect the cost for an extra 3 hours of sleep is a trashed family and play room. I can expect that my kitchen will not be spotless after he makes me breakfast. But all that is OK I can handle most of it.

Well I got a big surprise last Saturday morning when I came downstairs. As always my little man ran to mommy and jumped into my lap on the couch. I was hugging and loving on him when I noticed some hair on his shirt. With a little more investigation I found A LOT of hair on his shirt. I turned to my husband just in time to see all the color drain from his face when I asked "Where did this come from?"

Before he could answer we both jumped off the couch and were running to the playroom screaming "ANNABELLE TERESA COMEAUX!!"

As we rounded the corner into the kitchen she came running out of the play room with this happy look on here face that quickly turned to guilt. She was screaming "MOMMY MOMMY I am going to be a barber when I grow up!"

I instantly grabbed he head and started tugging at her hair to see if it had been cut. Thankfully she was smart enough not to cut her own hair. If she had I am truly not sure who I would have killed first. When we finally got into the playroom I discovered that not only did she cut Judges hair she got a hold of a baby doll and a boba toy. She had filled a toy plate with HAIR!!

So after I got done with my screaming fit I just had to ask her how she got Judge to set still! I have tried cutting his hair, his grandmother has tried and every time he is a PAIN!! So she explained to me that she held his hand and he sat still for her. She said she didn't want him to have UGLY hair so she decided that she would cut it for him!

I couldn't be as mad as I wanted because Dennis was standing there with this dumbfounded look on his face. This look that he gets when he knows I am not happy or he is in trouble. It is a hard look to explain. He calls it his "please don't beat me look!"

I don't know what I am going to do with these kids they are trying to give me a heart attack it seems.

Note to self.............

Vomit doesn't magically disappear in the washing machine.

What is that growing out of his belly button?

That was the question of the day!

I was changing John Paul's diaper and Annabelle decided to ask me "Hey mom what is that growing out of his belly button?" I was shocked she is 4 she shouldn't be asking me these things for another 5 years.

I thought hey if I can dodge the question it will just go away. Well being the persistent 4 year old she is she asked again. So I explained to her that there wasn't anything growing out of his belly button, closed his diaper, and left it at that. Well I tried to leave it at that.

Annabelle then began to explain to me the difference between boys and girls. I got the run down from a 4 year old about what makes a girl a girl and a boy a boy.

I think it is now time to start changing diapers in another room! I pray that she doesn't decide to have this conversation at school. How much do you tell a 4 year old? What questions do you answer? I am so NOT ready for this. SHE IS 4!!!!

I pray her father is around the next time she decides to describe the human anatomy! Then he can turn all 10 shades of red with me!

Of all things.

It is Friday. I was looking forward to a laid back evening with Dennis and the kids. Little did I know I was in for a very rude awakening. Around 4:40 I get a call from Dennis telling me that there is an 80% chance he may have to work a little late. I have been an I.T. wife long enough to know that usually means he will be home 2-3 hours late.

So I decided to skip making dinner and order the kids and I some pizza. The pizza took so long I ended up making the kids some soup and starting their baths. In the middle of giving Judge a bath the pizza arrived, so I went down stairs to pay for it. When I returned upstairs (This is where it all started to go down hill) I noticed something floating in the tub with Judge. That's right! You guessed it. HE POOPED IN THE TUB. After cleaning the tub and rerunning his water I was so ready for this night to be over.

I got the kids in bed and TRIED to relax. Moving from the south where everyone knows everyone to up here where you barely know your next door neighbors. I don't sleep that well when Dennis isn't home.

Well like I said being an I.T. wife I can gauge how long Dennis will be from the time frame he gives me.
examples
5 minutes = 30 minutes to an hour
30 minutes = 1.5 hours
1 hour = 3 hours

Well once again I was right and Dennis ended up working until 9. As he always does he called me while leaving the office. He got to the parking lot and said "OH SHIT THE CAR IS FROZEN!" At this point I am like oh yeah really quit joking around and get your butt home.

HE WASN'T JOKING!!!!

Who has ever heard of a car freezing up that is just plain crazy. If it is cold enough for the locks on your car to freeze you need to move. This is nuts. Thank God that didn't happen to me I would have walked out in the middle of the interstate and waited for the next semi to come along and take me out.

Well after playing with the locks for 15 minutes I convinced him to try unfreezing it with some hot water. So he goes inside the building and gets a cup of water. A cup! I wasn't there but I can just see him going to the coffee machine getting a small cup and filling it with water. What is a cup going to do. He comes out and pours it on the door and of course nothing happened. Then he tries warming up the car by "banging" against the door with his butt. That didn't work!! So 30 minutes have passed and it is now 9:30. He is trying to decide if he should go back into the office and just sleep there until the sun comes up and warms up the car or continue to try and unfreeze it.

Well I once again convinced him to try the water thing but this time he filled a trash can with water. He brought it to the car and poured it down the door. As I sat on the other end of the phone I heard "OH YES YES YES!!!!!!"

It unfroze the locks and he came home. I am now the proud owner of a car with a dented drivers side door and a black trash can. I know that we have a great job here and all, but give me a break that is just to darn cold. When you can't lock your cars because of the cold then that is where I draw the line.

John Paul 3 months.

I thought I would post a new picture of John Paul so everyone can see just how much he has grown! I can't believe he is 3 months old today. It seems like yesterday were walking into Danbury Hospital.

Hair

"Its OK mom! Its OK! Just don''t move mom. Just don't move and it won't pinch."

"It still hurts"

"Its OK its pretty. Don't you want a hair style?"

"Not really"

"Well your getting one! You don't want ugly hair do you? What kind of hair style do you want?"

"One that doesn't hurt (silently screaming)"

"It not hurting mom. See" (yank)

whiplash "IT HURTS!"

"Fine you will just be ugly forever and I will never help your hairstyle again!!!"

Annabelle decided to brush my hair.
